First Branzino

I hope the first in the row of many coming up. :)

Well known position in Strunjan; the channel of fresh water that flows in the sea. The day after rain and Jugo1. Days with2 bad weather3 which makes water murky and “dirty” are the best for sea bass fishing.
When today I woke up I just knew today is the day to catch something. When I arrived on the spot I wasn’t very pleased with conditions. It was sunny, with very low tide and4 very clear water. But, when I looked into the channel I saw that the water in it is murky, just as it should be after rain. This gave me hope.


And I was not hopping in vain. After a few changed lures and a lot of weed cleaning from hooks there came another weed hooking up sensation. But wait, this can’t be weed, this thing fights back :shock:
Without much effort I landed him on the beach. Nice, my first. It’s a bit small, but hey, at least it’s a sea bass I’m waiting on for so long.

After a quick photographing and measuring5 I let him go.

He was hiding in the middle of the channel, where water is the deepest. He jumped on a 9cm Yo-Zuri Pins Minnow in golden-silver colour.

I’m obsessed with lure fishing anyhow, but now when I actually made my first catch, I’m afraid the whole thing will grow over obsession in something worse. In addiction for example.  xD

Yesterday, while i was fishing in Strunjan, weather conditions suddenly changed. In less than an hour, weather went from optimistic and sunny to depressive and cloudy, you could literary smell the incoming rain. But setting sun managed to pierce the clouds and conjured this amazing vista.

 

Toplo hladno

Že lani sem sredi poletja posnel zelo podobno1 fotografijo a je žal neuporabna zaradi stresenosti2. Danes sem zadevo poizkusil ponoviti, tokrat z stativom.
Fotka sicer ni točno taka kot bi si želel, a upam, da se bodo vremenski pogoji in oblaki enkrat letos že poklopli, da bo nastala taka fotka  kot želim.
